Two pairs of Stitch Surfer Socks.
I realized I never posted both of my first pair made from Paton’s Kroy Burnish Sierra Stripes and Gentry Grey. And the second pair is the pair I just finished made with Paton’s Kroy Mullberry Stripes and Gentry Grey. I’m happy with how much the stripes match up on this one but it is shorter then my first pair because both balls repeated the stripe pattern 3 1/2 times but the pattern was shorter on this ball.
I love this pattern it’s so addicting! The pattern is here http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEdf12/PATTstitchsurfer.php

To all Sherlockians and John Cosplayers, if you can not make this sweater yourself, the lovely lady who has made a few of them (And is willing to make the Oatmeal Jumper) for the Bay Area Sherlockians, is taking commissions still.
Her name is Misty, and if this pattern makes your eyes go googly, then she can definitely help!
She’s got absolutely screaming prices, way less than you’d pay at a craft fair for a hand knitted jumper, and she is absolutely fantastic about tailoring it to exactly your measurements.
She also does Jayne hats for those browncoats out there!
Hey, look!

Trying to learn to do this for my current project (it should looks something like this hat here eventually). As a continental knitter, using my right hand to wrap yarn just feels so…wrong.
I’ve never tried this way of carrying yarn, and now I’m really interested in trying it, but there are devices you can by to carry the yarn over one finger for color knitting, like this:
from knitpicks.com (which I also have not actually tried out). In case you ever wanted to try a different method.
